The Hiranandani Group tested MULTIFOAM in 2001 and subsequently approved it for insulation applications, including it as a specified product in its project tenders.

Door frames
Fixed with/without holdfasts or anchor fasteners in a 12–15 mm gap, set true with jigs and shims. About three frames per can (assuming 7 × 3 ft door, 100 × 65 mm frame, 12 mm gap).

Windows and façades
Sealed against air, wind and water, with mechanical anchors on the jambs and head. About three windows per can (assuming 8 × 6 ft window, 50 × 65 mm frame, 10 mm gap).

PURAFOAM FIRE 5190 (up to 240 minutes) and 5191 (up to 180 minutes), as part of a tested fire-resistant system.

Why sites switch to foam
Most sites fix door frames with anchor fasteners, pack the gap with concrete and plaster over it. MULTIFOAM fills the gap itself, so the packed concrete, the black japan paint and the chipping come off the BOQ. One can fixes about three door frames (assuming 7 × 3 ft door, 100 × 65 mm frame, 12 mm gap).

Put it in your tender
When cracks appear after possession, the complaint goes to the builder, not the contractor.
If foam is only suggested, the contractor compares the price per can and stays with the method the crew knows. If it is in the tender, the contractor prices it in.
