Fire resistance for linear joints in solid walls made of aerated concrete with an apparent density of 650 kg/m³ ±200 and a wall thickness ≥150 mm:

  • EI 180-V-X-F-W 00-10 / joint depth 150 mm+
  • EI 60-V-X-F-W 00-20 / joint depth 150 mm+
  • EI 60-T-X-F-W 00-20 / joint depth 150 mm+

Fire resistance for linear joints in solid walls in combination with softwood and mineral rockwool is tested according to DIN EN 1366-4 and classified according to DIN EN 13501-2. Declaration of Performance available on request.

Fire resistance values apply when the foam is used as part of a tested and approved fire-resistant system and in accordance with the specified configuration.

Application Instructions

Pretreatment of the adhesive surfaces: 1K PU foam adheres to all common building materials except polyethylene, silicone, oils, greases and other release agents. Surfaces must be firm, clean, free of dust and grease. Loose parts should be removed and the substrate moistened if necessary. Increased moisture (pre-wetting) improves adhesion, increases yield, refines the cell structure and reduces curing time, especially at higher temperatures. The ideal processing temperature is approx. +20 °C. Warm cans that are too cold carefully in a lukewarm water bath. WARNING: never heat above +50 °C, otherwise there is a danger of bursting. Cool cans that are too hot (e.g. from a vehicle in summer) in a cold water bath, but do not shake. Keep PU cleaner ready for removing fresh foam. Cured foam can only be removed mechanically.

Processing instructions:

  • Shake the can approx. 20× in the long direction
  • Hold the can and screw the dispenser gun onto the valve thread of the can
  • Open the adjustment screw of the dispenser gun and press the trigger slightly
  • Check the first strip of foam and do not use it (there may be oil or cleaner residue in the dispenser gun)
  • Spray out foam with the can in valve-down position
  • Fill gaps from bottom to top to approx. 80% of volume, because the foam expands and fills the gap completely
  • Close the adjustment screw of the dispenser gun after foaming, for storage of the can
  • Replacement of can: spray out the foam in the dispenser gun by holding the can with the valve side upright until only gas comes out. Unscrew the dispenser gun from the empty can and screw it onto a new can
  • Always keep a can (even an empty one) screwed onto the dispenser gun to ensure a tight system
  • Fresh foam can be removed with PU cleaner; cured foam mechanically only
  • The PU foam is not UV-stable, so it should be coated, plastered or covered with a UV-proof material in a timely manner

Application remarks:

  • Can temperature: min. +10 °C up to max. +30 °C
  • Surrounding temperature: min. +5 °C up to max. +30 °C
  • Surface temperature: min. +5 °C up to max. +30 °C
  • Tack-free: approx. 8±3 minutes; cutting: approx. 35±5 minutes
  • Humidity, moisture and higher temperatures reduce the curing time
  • The surface has to be stable and free of dust, oil and grease
  • Not UV-resistant
Storage and Transportation

Store and transport in unopened original packaging, dry (<60% relative humidity) and at temperatures of +15 °C up to +25 °C. Higher temperatures and/or higher humidity may shorten the shelf life or change the material characteristics. Shelf life: see the bottom of the can.
