Where MULTIFOAM works in a building
Nine places MULTIFOAM PRO 5145 and PURAFOAM FIRE are used, from door frames to fire-rated joints. Each links to its product and to the application guide.
-
Door frame fixing
Foam fills the 12-15 mm gap around a wooden, WPC, steel or aluminium door frame and holds it without holdfasts or anchor fasteners. This applies to door frames only.
- DIN 4102 B2
-
Window frame sealing
Foam seals the gap around window and façade frames against air, wind and water. Window frames also need mechanical anchors.
- DIN 4102 B2
-
Expansion joint back-up
A back-up filler behind the joint sealant. It sets the sealant depth and stays compressible; the foam is not the movement seal itself.
- DIN 4102 B2
-
Beam-to-block wall joint
Foam fills and seals the joint along the top of a block wall under an RCC beam, and stays flexible where the two materials meet.
- DIN 4102 B2

Partition-to-slab gap
Foam along the top of an internal partition helps reduce sound transfer through the gap.
- DIN 4102 B2
-
HVAC and MEP sealing
Seals and insulates gaps around pipes and ducts where they pass through walls. Where the opening needs a fire-rated seal, use PURAFOAM FIRE 5190 or 5191 instead, as part of a tested fire-resistant system.

- DIN 4102 B2
-
Mivan tie-rod and patti holes
Foam fills tie-rod and Mivan patti holes to their full depth before finishing. The outer face is then grouted.
